I’m super excited to offer three new sand & land boutique adventures based in my hometown of Leigh (1 hour north of Auckland)!
Leigh offers some of the most stunning coastlines with NZ’s oldest marine reserve, secluded bays, crystal-clear inlets, caves, and underwater canyons. There’s something here for every urchin among you.

- Glass bottom boat tour & swim
- Swim technique tips from Fi Ellison (swim coach from Sydney)
- Gear advice, breathwork practice
- Guided tour of the marine discovery centre at Goat Island
- Support from experienced trained lifeguards
- Plenty of time to relax

- Small groups (ca. 15 people)

- Guided tour of the marine discovery centre at Goat Island
- Support from trained lifeguards and boat crews

Stay at Whangateau Holida Park right on the estuary and walking distance to our Yogifish hub at Whangateau Hall.
Accommodation prices start at $30pp/night.
Of course you’re welcome to book your own accommodation.

This is the first time I have ever done anything like this, and it was magical. The group was amazing - there was so much laughter and teasing banter, but it was also genuinely supportive and kind. Everyone looked out for each other and celebrated each other’s successes. In my whole life, I don't think I have ever spent four days that were as good for the soul. Truly therapeutic. I will be back!

There were so many highlights to this retreat. The biggest highlight for me was getting one on one advice in the water on how to improve my swimming style. Then having the chance to put this into practice swimming in such a beautiful environment, with such support, was simply amazing. Then there were the highlights I hadn't expected - meeting a fantastic group of people, sharing amazing meals and just having great fun. Such an amazing experience.

The Retreat was Amazing. The Coaches Amazing. The Swimming skills, invaluable. Post Retreat, the skills I learnt will carry Me forward in My Life. The skill of breathing properly, has already started showing in My everyday Life as well as in the Ocean. The Yoga Sessions were great for a first timer. It was great having 3 different types of Yoga to experience. It would be wonderful to finish the Day Off with a Massage. The Retreat was so well run; From the Coaches; Activities; Meals; Accommodation; Destination. Fantastic. I will be back. Thank You

I found great value in having Heidi in the water and watching as we swam and then being able to give us feedback and help to implement. Whangateau hall was quaint and ideal. Loved what we learnt at the Marine Reserve especially about the snapper and crayfish `travel patterns' and the kina barrens. The yoga was so good and the dancing super fun. A great all-round experience and you facilitated everything so well. Thank you

Food and accommodation feedback
The accommodation was great - awesome to be able to walk to the hall hub, and very good facilities. Quiet by 10pm was respected by all, even when the campground was very busy. The food was exceptional - could not have been any better.

What really made this retreat was the energy that you all bought to it. It was so obvious that you all were passionate about swimming and loved to help others succeed. It was such a supportive and welcoming environment. On top of being worried about whether I would cope with the swimming, I was also anxious about being there on my own. But I immediately felt comfortable and welcome as part of the group. Thanks for a wonderful experience, Kaye!!

A beautiful location, with well supported swims in clear water. The group comprised of a range of ages and stages in life which added to the charm of the experience. So good to listen to other people's stories and adventures. The food was outstanding. Kaye was thoroughly well planned, supportive and her passion for swimming infectious. Food was absolutely first class- always more than enough and so fresh.

It was awesome finding such a lovely group of like-minded swimmers who love the sea and we all supported one another as we had our salty adventures! The locations were beautiful, the food (all catered) was delicious, and the yoga, Pilates and meditation all felt good for my swimmer's body and mind. Kaye was very responsive and caring, answering all our questions and explaining each day's plans clearly so we knew we were in good hands. She had an excellent support crew too. I'm definitely keen to do the whole mid-distance swim retreat again next year!

I really liked the variety of the swims, the different natural conditions we explored, and the ability to either push a bit further, or reduce depending on how I felt on the day. The format with one trainer at the front and one at the back, and the support in boats worked well for me - I always felt safe and valued. And the drill skill sessions were great.

I feel so privileged to have been a part of this amazing retreat. Personally, I enjoyed the multidiscipline approach where the focus was on general wellness & brought together many strands to represent this. I gained insights from the meditation, yoga & pilates, while I was joyfully challenged by the swimming drills. The swims themselves were a treat, especially providing opportunities to practice our new technical skills. Thanks to Heidi & Ben for their dedicated efforts to ensure we all benefited from their expertise. The participants were all friendly, kind & thoughtful, such a great bunch of people & very easy to communicate & share experiences with. The food was top quality, there was plenty of variety & everything was delicious. I would definitely book another retreat like this & all going well, would aim to increase distance next time. Kaye, your passion, energy, & enthusiasm was evident throughout. You led us with confidence even when presented with challenges along the way. Your ability to pivot when required ensured we were not disappointed at any stage.

Hard to pick the one highlight!! Swimming with great vis, swimming with likeminded poddies, zooming in the current and through the cat hulls, feeling less anxious about future ocean swim’s with all our new skills and experience
